Dr. Tinetti attended Colorado State University for both her undergraduate and veterinary studies. Thereafter, she completed a one-year internship in shelter medicine. The internship was a very eye-opening experience. Christina was surrounded by masses of homeless animals, and it broke her heart to know that so many of those animals would spend their final days within the shelter. Perhaps, this is why she is at her maximum capacity of animals.

Christina has lived in Colorado since 1992 and decided that she can never be without the sun and mountains of Colorado. She shares her life with her supportive husband and the many animals they have acquired, including an adorable and happy Chihuahua pup, who is paralyzed in her back legs. In her free-time, she enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, and motorcycling.
